Dr. John Doucet

Dr. Doucet has maintained a private orthodontic office in Niagara Falls, Ontario since 1973. Dr. Doucet and his wife Marilee have two daughters: Kristin is a journalist and editor in Toronto; Rebecca received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in June, 2003, in California. She is an orthodontist in Mississauga, ON.

Dr. Doucet received his elementary and high school education in Niagara Falls Ontario. He attended dental school and graduate orthodontics at the University of Toronto. He is past president of the Niagara Peninsula Dental Association, past president of the Toronto Orthodontic Study Club and past president of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists. He represented the Ontario Association of Orthodontists at the national level and the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, serving as Secretary Treasurer.

In his spare time Dr. Doucet enjoys skiing and tennis. However his passion is sail boat racing. He has been racing since 1970 on the Great Lakes, the Florida Gulf, and the Newport to Bermuda race. He has won several racing awards. His 38-foot sail boat "X-Bandit" and crew of 9 have won first overall in their division in Toronto, for both course and off shore racing for the years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

During the off season Dr. Doucet and his wife enjoy travelling.
